Autumn Rugby Internationals Results & Fixtures

After the first 2 weekends of the November series

It is a measure of how far Ireland have come that the handling and lineout errors of todays game rather than the 11pt victory over the Pumas are the main points of discussion. Its great to see we have set the bar so high and ultimately will judge this team on results against the All Blacks over anything else. Australia's game plan is called into question with some dubious calls to forego some very kickable points in their defeat to Wales. Wales will be delighted to finally end a losing run against the Wallabies that stretches back to 2008. England just missed out on a memorable win over the All Blacks with the TMO calling out their 76th minute try as offside. To come so close in a thrilling game of rugby that lived up to its billing must give England great hope for the future. They will certainly have no fear of this New Zealand team and Eddie Jones can now look forward to taking on his former charges Japan at Twickenham next week. Scotland as expected easily disposed of Fiji at Murrayfield, The USA showed their improving squad has strength in depth defeating Samoa in Spain. In a tense game in Paris, South Africa overcame a very poor first half performance to clinch victory with a try in the 5th minute of stoppage time. In what is becoming a familiar theme, Frances discipline let them down once again.
